Biography

Wendy West has worked, exhibited and taught in central Connecticut for the past twenty-four years. Her work has been included in juried shows at the West Hartford Art League and the Promenade Gallery at the Bushnell, and she has had solo shows at the Art Guild in Farmington and Timothy's Restaurant in Hartford. Wendy has been curator/co-curator of shows at the Gallows Hill Bookstore at Trinity College and historic Christ Church Cathedral.

Wendy's work in oil on canvas and in mixed-media collage, includes landscapes, still lifes, abstract expressions of the human spirit, and political and protest art.

In addition to the original art seen here, half- and full-size giclee prints, signed and matted by the artist, may be ordered at reasonable prices.

Wendy will also create commissioned pieces, including collages in a customized "rainbow" of colors chosen by you. Or have her create a customized still life painting, an arrangement of objects which are meaningful to you, to commemorate a special occasion or remember someone important in your life. NOTE: the collages may be done in almost any size in order to keep the cost of the commission within your budget!
