Rachel E. Armstrong began painting in 1986 and has had a successful career since then. Mostly self-taught, she attended classes at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT, in 1990 and was co-recipient of the prestigious Stobart Fellowship in 1991-92.
