Jodi Bonassi's work continues to portray people in the public settings of barbershops and cafes. "Times Star Barbers is currently being exhibited in the Particular Places Exhibition, curated by Bernard Chaet. Jodi has been developing another series, along with her continued studies, which explores a single woman's presence in different settings. This new series highlights the young woman lounging in a bathtub or sitting amidst a group of doors. Primarily self-taught, her visual narratives of day-to-day life have gained her reviews in the Los Angeles Times and the Boston Globe as well as other newspapers.

This is a cafe painting study based on a study of Carney's Cafe on Sunset in Los Angeles. I really enjoy sketching in public places. This painting has exhibited in Grey McGear Modern Inc. and is now in the Warner Center Marriot Exhibit.
