PAINTER

Hi! I am a painter of portraits and landscapes in Oils. I studied at Amherst College and Harvard University, combining art and art history, and also with Helena Zelezny in Rome, Italy. I work primarily from life, though I will do portraits from photographs as needed. I work quickly, in sessions of about an hour, and try to capture the immediacy and truth of a given moment in light and color. In nature, my preferred subjects are winter scenes, scenes with dramatic clouds, and the subtle colors within the browns and greys of the world. (more)
